About The Event
In association with the RED CROSS Ooraminna Station Homestead hosts a fundraising Afternoon Tea on Sunday 25 November to knit TRAUMA TEDDIES.
Across Australia, thousands of Teddies are given out each year to reduce the suffering of people (mostly children) who are affected by fire, floods and other disasters. The Teddies are a great comfort to those who receive them. The recipient could have experienced a major event in their life, or it could be something as simple as their first aeroplane ride. The organisations who receive Teddies in Central Australia are: police, fire, ambulance, RFDS, Mental Health Centres, clinics, hospitals, Women’s Shelters, & retirement homes.
The Ooraminna Restaurant can seat 40 people comfortably in air-conditioning at the homestead overlooking the lovely Ooraminna ranges. Don't miss out on this lovely afternoon tea of cakes and raffles and lucky door prizes and knitting!
There will be a children's craft corner offered on the day.
Please send your expression of interest to us or book on our website directly.
