WEATHER POLICY
Occasionally weather may be adverse at the Ooraminna Station Homestead as it is out doors. We will try to go ahead with events and movie screenings wherever possible, and do not cancel for light or potentially light rain unless it may imminently affect access by road or patrons safety. We recommend customers bring wet weather gear to sessions if the forecast is for light rain or cloudy weather. Events and film screenings will be cancelled only if the weather poses a threat to access by road or a safety threat to patrons and staff. The decision to cancel a screening is made by the Management on site and can be made at any time up to or during an event, as weather conditions are notoriously unpredictable. Patrons accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur on an event night and acknowledge that tickets will not be refunded or re-validated unless an event is officially cancelled by Ooraminna Station Homestead prior to the event commencing.
In the event of:
Light Rain: We will continue to show a film or proceed with an event, you can take shelter in the Hotel, under the Hotel balcony or under the RED SHED at the filmset or in the homestead and on the verandah at the Homestead.
Heavy Rain: Heavy rain during an event or film screening may cause cessation of the event.
Cancellation: If rain presents a safety risk or is too heavy and Management cancels the event, you will receive complimentary tickets to another screening of a film but not to a specialised event. This will be at the discretion of management.
