If you’ve always wanted to float above Australia’s Red Centre and soar over the Outback while the sun rises, this is your dream adventure!

At Ooraminna Homestead we’re pleased to work with a local operator that has been ballooning in the area since 1986. As one of the longest-running ballooning companies in Australia, it’s also a relief that the reliable desert weather means they rarely have to cancel departures.

Once you climb into the balloon, get ready to experience the breathtaking feeling of floating silently above the Outback as the sun slowly rises over the desert on your awe-inspiring ballooning adventure. The ascent begins in pre-dawn darkness, just as the morning light begins to illuminate the rugged MacDonnell Ranges. Float gently across the vast expanse of the Central Australian outback and remember to keep an eye out for native wildlife, including the iconic red kangaroo, whilst you gain an appreciation of the remoteness of the area as the balloon glides across the landscape.

After landing, there’ll be time to enjoy the desert tranquility while light refreshments are served, accompanied by sparkling wine and fruit juice.
