Camping

The small cluster of camp sites are set in the middle of the 200-hectare property, giving you access to the private retreat and pristine wilderness experience. Wander along walking trails through the bushland teeming with native flora and escarpments that offer the most glorious views. Enjoy the stillness of the billabong and watching the frenzy of birds and animals that its water attracts.

Stay on the unpowered sites and enjoy the convenience of an amenities block with showers and toilet facilities. Pay-per-use washing machines are available. Please note, there is no water supply or dumping station for caravans

Fire pits are also dotted around the camp to enjoy toasting marshmallows while you share stories of the day’s adventures with other campers.

There’s the opportunity to rent a cosy swag, the portable bedding of choice for Australian bushmen and drovers. It’s a waterproof canvas bedroll that combines a mattress and sleeping bag. Swags are subject to availability and will need to be requested in advance of your stay.

Also, coming later in the year to Ooraminna will be our glamping tents. In these spacious domes, bed down in comfort and be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the desert.
